Regatta month

October is really a busy month, especially for Emily. We would attend four regattas at weekends, including Textile Regatta, New England(NE) Regional Championship, New Hampshire Championships Merrimack River Pembroke, and MPSRA Fall Championships.

Emily was a little disappointed to miss the chance to row in 43th Textile regatta d. Novice rowing was canceled at the last minute due to being too windy. However, she rowed twice this weekend for NE Regional Championship in Quinsigamond at Worcester, MA.

Actually, this was a sunny, not too windy weekend. It is still cold though because of occasional gusts. Emily raced Women Jr/Hs 4x+ on Saturday. The team of five girls rowed 14:27.7 for 1.1 miles and won one boat among all the Varsity teams.

New Family Member: Jasmine

First US winter for Taiwanese cats

Last summer, we brought our three cats from Taiwan, which was an adventure, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. After Jolie, Emily and Alice arrived on the evening of July 5, we drove RAV-4 directly to JFK Airport the next day to save our cat family members: Yo-Yo, Chien-Chien, and Hu-Hu

Three cats have adopted new life in the US well and got their weights back soon. Three cats also have the new friend Ki-Ki, who was our guest last Thanksgiving and Christmas. Ki-Ki's parents have family friends living in Minnesota and asked us if we wanted to adopt new kittens from the farm. Jolie and two girls DECLARED that a new kitten could stimulate our three old cats to increase their vitality and stamina. Another important reason is to save the kitten from the wild to prevent them from being eaten by predators.

The new kitten took flight from Minnesota and stayed at Ki-Ki's home first. We met our new family member-Jasmine when we returned from Washington DC. Actually, she had a company, Luna, who was the new member of Ki-Ki's home.

Go! Jasmine

Finally, we welcomed Jasmine to join our new family in the US. Hopefully, old cats can have a fantastic journey with her. Actually, Jasmine has been welcomed by the old three cats!
