May is really very busy. Two girls did not attend any squash tournaments. Instead, Emily had a regatta every weekend, and Alice had a busy soccer schedule on weekdays and weekends.

This might be Alice's final soccer season. She has been in the team AB Independence since Fall 2022. We planned to quit this spring season to focus on squash, but the team roasters were lacking. Again, the commitment is still a thing and we decided to finish this season. Therefore, Alice was busy with soccer practice and matches from the middle of April to the middle of June.

Actually, I was not involved in soccer matches and barely knew the parents of Alice's teammates' parents. However, Coach Mike ran a good team, and all girls were also devoted to the practice and games a lot. In most games, AB Independence only had 11 rosters and barely exchanged subs.
Alice and I traveled to Newton (vs. Newton Thunder), Hopkinton (vs. Hopkinton Hawks), Dover Sherborn, and Westwood during the weekend. Basically, we were away from any squash tournament in May. Enjoying team sports is totally from participating individual sports from the parent's perspective.
Alice's team attended the Presidental Cup tournament. The team advanced to the quarterfinal (won Southboro Sting but lost to Newton G The Phoneix) and could not make it to the semifinal. However, I believed this is still an invaluable teamwork experience and commitment for Alice.
